Triple F is a start-up farm in Lilongwe outskirts, blending agroforestry, smart irrigation, and ethical animal husbandry. We demonstrate that middle-size farms can restore soil fertility and boost food security.
We increase soil fertility by natural means
compost, mulch,organic material,
planting trees, and through a consequent crop rotation.
Drip irrigation of 4 ha (10 acres) coming from pumped ground water and stored in tanks with the total capacity of 64.000 litres. Pumps work with solar power and Water is used carefully. In the rainy season we harvest water and fill the natural stock again.
We have tested more than 200 different trees (fruit, flower, forestry), and we integrate trees everywhere on our farm.
Triple FFounded in 2021 by Ueli Müller, a Swiss citizen and led alongside General Manager Shupe Nkhwazi, Triple F Permaculture is a thriving medium-sized farm powered by a dedicated team of 30 professionals.

To stand as Malawi's most efficient, trendsetting, and sustainable small-scale farm.
Our Land Triple F Permaculture operates on 80 acres (32 hectares) of fertile land, thoughtfully divided between seasonal rain-fed crops and highly efficient, irrigated fruit and vegetable production. We have already established our core farm infrastructure, including administrative offices and employee housing. To support our long-term growth, we are planning the construction of our own warehouse, processing facility, guesthouse, and farm-to-table restaurant.
We are trying out around 80 species for fruit, timber, agroforestry, erosion control, and ornamental gardening.
Domestic AnimalsWe keep ducks and turkeys for the local market. Animals are kept in big fences, finding all they need in a sound environment. Three animals for meat production (turkeys, hens, ducks, rabbits, pigs…) plus multiplication for communities.
Permaculture CultureBanana mixed with Mangoes, Papaya, plus fruit orchard: lemon, tamarind, orange, king's passion fruit, macadamia, apple, moringa. Passion fruit first harvest 2024 — very promising!
To combat seasonal water scarcity, our farm utilizes an advanced water-harvesting system. We pump underground water and capture rainfall through an eco-friendly network of dams and ditches. This system efficiently irrigates over 9,000 plants across 4 hectares—including bananas, mangos, and tree tomatoes—while providing reliable clean water to our nursery, vegetable gardens, and staff facilities.
